UMW has its sixth All-American as wing Elyssa "E" McClain is selected to the Division II Women's Collegiate All-American Second Team.

UMW wins the Capital Conference Division II title.

UMW advances for the 9th time to the Women's Collegiate Division II National Rugby Championship!

UMW loses to the College of Charleston 13-5, but wins the consolation 38-12 over the Indiana University of PA.

2013-2014

UMW enters play into the Capital Geographic Union.

UMW wins the Capital Conference Division II title.

UMW advances for the 8th time to the Women's Collegiate Division II National Rugby Championship!

UMW beats Kent State 131-0 in the Round of 16, but falls 31-19 to Appalachian State University in the quarterfinals.

Due to injuries and finances, Appalachian State University withdraws from the National Rugby Championship, UMW is asked by USA Rugby to advance!

UMW beats Florida International 29-17 in the national semifinals.

UMW beats Cal State University Northridge 36-22 to win its first Women's Collegiate Division II National Rugby Championship!

UMW back Tina Rader ('14) is selected as tournament MVP.


2012-2013

USA Rugby begins its restructing of the Collegiate Women's Division II.

UMW wins the last Virginia Rugby Union's Collegiate Women's Division II title.

UMW advances for the 7th time to the Women's Collegiate Division II National Rugby Championships!

UMW falls to Appalachian State University in the National Round of 32.

The Virginia Rugby Union and the Mid-Atlantic Rugby Football Union are disolved.


2011-2012

Virginia Rugby Union eliminates the Ed & Sandy Lee Cup as the vehicle for advancing teams into the Mid-Atlantic playoffs.

UMW finishes 2nd in the Virginia Rugby Union's Division II (Congratulations to the College of William & Mary).

Kelsey Bond, Anna Davis, Lara Hampson, Elyssa McClain, Christine McKitrick, & Dalia Natour represent UMW as VRU All-Stars.

UMW falls to Shippensburg Univeristy 27-10 in the Mid-Atlantic Semifinals and to George Washington University 27-13 in the Mid-Atlantic 3rd Place match, finishing 4th in the last Mid-Atlantic Championship.

UMW falls to Shippensburg Univeristy 22-5 in the Mid-Atlantic Semifinals, but beats Temple University 10-5. As Mid-Atlantic #3, UMW advances for the 6th time to the Women's Collegiate Division II National Rugby Championships in Kissimmee, Florida.

UMW loses the Women's Collegiate Division II National Rugby Semiquarterfinals, but wins the consolation match.
UMW finishes 9th-12th in the nation in USA Rugby's Women's Collegiate Division II.

RugbyMag, in its end of year rankings, list UMW as #10 in the National Division II.

UMW Women's Rugby is named the 2010-2011 Sport Club of the Year and Mercy Furey is named the 2010-2011 Sport Club Officer of the Year.

UMW has its fifth All-American as prop Molly Walter is selected to the Division II Women's Collegiate All-American Team.


2009-2010

Justine Hewitt and Molly Walter represent UMW as VRU All-Stars.

Debbie Jaquith is selected to the Mid-Atlantic U19 All-Star Team.

UMW falls to LaSalle Univeristy in the Mid-Atlantic Quarterfinals.

UMW falls to Delaware in the Mid-Atlantic semifinals, but beats Georgetown in the consolation. UMW finishes 3rd in the Mid-Atlantic Division II.

Ari Bensusan, Tammy Coffey, Liz King, Nicole McIntyre, Sara Prudoff-Smith represent MWC as Virginia Rugby Union All-Stars.

In the Spring, MWC finishes 2nd in the Division II Mid-Atlantic Rugby Championships

MWC has its third All-American as fullback Liz King is selected to the Collegiate All-American Second Team.

USA Rugby establishes an official Women's Collegiate Division II National Rugby Championship.


1998-1999

In the Fall, MWC's first year in Division II, the team is very successful. The team is the Virginia Rugby Union's #1 seed for the Mid-Atlantic tournament.

MWC wins the Referee Society of Virginia Sportsmanship Award.

MWC wins the Mid-Atlantic championship, advancing to the Women's Collegiate Division II National Rugby Championships.
MWC wing Heather Walsh is selected MARFU tournament MVP.

MWC has its second All-American as winger Heather Walsh is selected to the Collegiate All-American Second Team.

MWC hosts an invitational Women's Collegiate Division II National Rugby Championships, finishing fourth.

USA Rugby establishes a Collegiate Women's Division I & Division II.

MWC wins the Referee Society of Virginia Sportsmanship Award.

Kerri Barile leaves the coaching staff at the end of the school year.

In the spring, Number 8 Jill Reilly becomes the first MWC player to be selected as a Collegiate All-American.

MWC hosts the inaugural Mid-Atlantic Territorial collegiate women and club women tournament.

Ed & Sandy Lee Tournament (the Virginia Rugby Union championship) is cancelled, MWC hosts a women's collegiate "make-up" tournament.

MWC finishes fourth in the Virginia Rugby Union.

MWC finishes second in the Virginia Rugby Union, losing to James Madison University.

Rob Beilfus and Skip Francis leave the program. Kris Kabza joins the coaching staff.

MWC wins its first Virginia Rugby Union Collegiate Women's championship defeating James Madision University 8-4 in sudden death overtime with a try by flanker Felicia Baxter.
